The advantage of the Arboretum area is its convenient proximity to all the major roads in Austin. 183 is one of the major North South arteries of Austin and cuts through the center of the Arboretum heading south out towards the Airport or northwest out towards Lake Travis. Mopac or Loop 1 runs parallel to I-35 and is the highway of choice if you are wanting to access the west side of Austin and is just east of the Arboretum. 360 or Capital of Texas Highway is one of the western loops of Austin and cuts through the beautiful Austin Hill Country. All three of the these roads intersect just outside the Arboretum area, so no matter where you need to commute to, you have convenient access to major thoroughfares of Austin!

The Arboretum is also a very clean, well-maintained area of Austin. Due to all the shopping located in and around the Arboretum area there is a lot of pressure to keep the area looking nice.
