Taqueria Vallarta on Riverside offers Jalisco style Mexican cuisine with great chips and salsa, enchiladas, and fajitas, all at very reasonable prices with quality ingredients! The UT shuttle also runs throughout Southeast Austin, making it extremely convenient for students to get to UT. Another big selling feature of Southeast Austin is it’s proximity to some of the major employers of Austin, like AMD located off of East Oltorf. Of course, the biggest selling point of this area of town is the affordability. There are 1BRs that start at just above $400/mon and 2BRs at $550. The fact is Southeast Austin is the least expensive region of Austin and for many people who can’t afford the luxuries of Southwest Austin; it’s a great alternative.
